One of Henrik Ibsen's final plays is a master class of the inevitable laws of change, enduring love and the guilt of ambition.

Alfred Allmers returns from the mountains wholly dedicated to the welfare of his crippled son, Eyolf, much to the consternation of his wife Rita and sister Asta. An unexpected visit from the mythical Rat Wife triggers a chain of irrevocable consequences that will offer no redemption.

“Fabrice Serafino’s design is spare, coating the walls in a brilliant cerulean blue and providing little other distraction, rather focusing on heightening the emotional intensity of the piece which is played in period dress.” Ian Foster
